Michael Andrew Fox OC (born June 9, 1961), known professionally as Michael J. Fox, is a Canadian-American
semi-retired actor. Beginning his career in the 1970s, he first rose to prominence for portraying
Alex P. Keaton on the NBC sitcom Family Ties (1982–1989). Fox achieved further recognition as protagonist
Marty McFly in the Back to the Future film trilogy (1985–1990). The trilogy's critical and commercial
success led to Fox headlining several films throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including The Secret of
My Success (1987), Casualties of War (1989), Doc Hollywood (1991), and The Frighteners (1996). H
e returned to television on the ABC sitcom Spin City, where he portrayed the lead role of Mike
Flaherty from 1996 to 2000.

Michael Andrew Fox, dit Michael J. Fox, est un acteur, auteur, producteur et activiste canado-américain
né le 9 juin 1961 à Edmonton en Alberta. Il se fait connaître grâce au rôle du jeune républicain
ambitieux Alex Mason, fils de parents libéraux dans la sitcom Sacrée Famille (1982-1989) diffusés
sur la chaine NBC. Le succès de la série lui permet d'être tête d'affiche au cinéma et s'il tient
le premier rôle dans le film Teen Wolf de Rod Daniel en 1985, c'est son rôle la même année
dans le film de science-fiction Retour vers le futur du cinéaste Robert Zemeckis qui le propulse
au rang d'acteur mondialement célèbre. Il y joue Marty McFly, un adolescent envoyé par erreur
trente ans dans le passé grâce à une DeLorean. Le succès du film est tel que deux suites verront le jour :
Retour vers le futur 2 en 1989 et Retour vers le futur 3 en 1990.
